Reading female body language
December 22nd 2007 00:54
Various dating sites on the internet have information on reading female body language, and when it comes to Aussie women a lot of it holds true, but certainly not all – I don’t know many chicks who would overtly touch a man’s hand when speaking to him, for example. Every woman is different, but when it comes to figuring out whether a certain honey is into you, there are a few key body language cues you can pick up on.
First, if she’s across the room from you and is watching you, trying to catch your eye, then looks away once and looks back and smiles, you stand a good chance of capturing her interest, as your appearance already has. Don’t forget to acknowledge her, regardless of how dazzling her smile may be – smile back, then get on over there for a conversation! If you find that she is playing with her hair and jewellery a lot, or re-applies her lip gloss more frequently than necessary, it means she’s fidgety because she’s nervous around you, or she’s making sure that she’s looking her best. These are all important cues to pick up on as it’s going to be up to you to take it to the next level, being that you are the man. That’s just the way it is!
If you find that she’s ignoring you, on the other hand, don’t assume she’s not into you – she could just be too shy to make any brazen flirting moves. If this is the case you have a dilemma, as there’s a possibility she’s indifferent, but you should have a brief conversation with her nonetheless (it doesn’t matter what it’s about, it only matters that you talk to her). If she seems unhappy or uncomfortable around you, looks over your shoulder or around the room while you’re talking, or doesn’t smile at all, then she’s probably just not that into you. After you’ve chatted for a couple of minutes, excuse yourself and leave it up to her to talk to you next, later in the night. If she enjoyed being around you and was sending out mixed signals (this can happen), she will approach you later. You need to be patient with this one!
By far the most interesting way of telling if someone is into you is by looking deep into their eyes, and seeing if their pupils are dilated. Now this could also happen from low lighting, but if the lights are bright enough and the girl you are interested in has large pupils (the black in the centre of the iris) then it’s a strong indication that she’s attracted to you. She’ll move closer to you when she’s ready, and you can take things to a physical level, but that’s for another blog…

I feel for a man in having to break the ice and start the chat... so many don't, especially if you're an attractive person - it can really work against you. It must be really hard for a shy guy?
Thank God love has a way of finding itself, regardless, hey?
The internet is an interesting study, as only 7% communication is available and yet feelings manage to be conveyed ... by osmosis?
Interesting post.

Lilla, right you are, love does have a way of finding itself. Sometimes it just takes a bit longer than you want it to. And the thing with shy guys is that they often are the best partners to have, you just have to find a way to talk to them in the first place - not always an easy task.
Here's to the shy guys!

But then, it's just as likely that she's simply bought a new conditioner that's made her hair silky, and she can't stop touching it. So it's not really a reliable sign.
