I've hooked up with my ex boyfriend, yet again. We now have an on-again, off-again relationship. And you know what? It doesn't bother me. At the moment, it's all I need, to have comfort and closeness with someone who I know isn't The One for me, but who will probably be a good friend for a while to come.
I don't see that there's a problem with that. We're taught to believe that we should be on this neverending quest to find the true love of our lives, but really, isn't it great to get to know people on an intimate level who may not be that person? But who will, nonetheless, bring a lot of fun to our otherwise routine existence.
So as long as you're still having fun, I say you should enjoy the one-night stands, enjoy the friends with benefits, and enjoy sex with the ex. When you're ready to commit to something more and you've found the right person, it will be that much better for having had other (not less important) experiences.
All I know is, I'm having a great time, and surely that can't be a bad thing.

I just don't believe in anything that lasts forever and doesn't end up hurting you in the end.
Because if I'd been able to say one little word when for some reason I couldn't, on the night I barely remember, I might actually have the closest thing to true love that exists.
Real love.
