It seems that men really do love scarlet women! New research has shown that men, on average, find women to be more attractive when they're wearing red.
Researchers from the University of Rochester in New York recently conducted five psychological experiments using groups of young men. Among other findings they discovered that the men felt more amorous towards a woman dressed in red, and more likely to lavish gifts and attention upon her, than the same woman dressed in blue.
They also tested to see whether groups of women found a woman in red more attractive, and found that they did not.
The researchers are calling it the red-sex link, and believe it to be linked to our biological heritage. "Research has shown that male primates are indeed particularly attracted to female conspecifics exhibiting red," says the study.
So it seems we really are primal creatures after all! Red not only evokes passion... now it evokes attraction. Use this knowledge to your advantage!
