Don't be shy

Don’t be shy
Just let your feelings roll on by
And don’t wear fear
Or nobody will know you’re there.
-Cat Stevens
Shyness is a truly debilitating condition when it comes to dealing with the opposite sex - not to mention society in general. Typically, if you don’t speak up for yourself you’ll lose out, and if you don’t have the confidence to approach a woman and begin a conversation you’ll lose out there too. Any time you are with a woman you fancy and you don’t have a conversation with her, you’re losing the opportunity to not only learn more about her, but become closer to her as well. It may seem obvious but it's worth remembering.
The only way out of shyness is through practice, and even then you won’t always be safe – everyone can get an attack sometmes, but it’s how you deal with it that matters. The more you do something, the better you get at it, so make the most of these holidays and socialise as much as you can. Confidence in certain situations will sneak up on you, you may not even notice it at first because it’ll have become natural to you. When you’ve succeeded in dealing with other men and female friends, you’re ready to approach attractive women and see how you go dealing with them. It is a daunting task, to be sure, but one that is necessary in ensuring your future happiness. Shyness will get you nowhere – it’s time to ditch it and take on a new, more confident persona. Tis the season to be jolly, best of luck to you in your endeavours!
